Adult Ceramics - March

Calendar Next session starts Mar 8, 2018 at 7 pm

This class is on Thursdays, March 8, 15, 22, 29. Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced potter – you are welcome to come enjoy, learn and create! Students will learn to center pottery on the wheel among other things. Bring a friend and come create some unique pieces of pottery! Completed projects will be fired and glazed. A 25-pound bag of clay will be provided for each student. Additional clay may be purchased for $20 a bag.

Babysitting 101

NEW CLASS DATE MARCH 24, 2018. Young babysitters will learn how to keep children safe and happy. This class will cover using fun and educational games and activities for kids, how to prepare healthy snacks and what information a young babysitter needs from the parents. Come find out how to take care of the kids and please the parents too! For ages 11 and older.

Cool Science-Part 2

Calendar Next session starts Mar 1, 2018 at 5 pm, runs for 4 weeks

This March class is for kids who took Part-1 in February. Curious kids will learn lots of things to spark an interest in science and maybe even future inventions! We will learn that you can fly a kite with magnets and can split water with them too. Find out which is heavier, water or oil and what you can make with that. We'll be racing water while learning about air pressure and we'll be soaring with excitement when we make our own static fliers. For kids 8-12 years old.

Couch to 5K

If you’ve ever wanted to try running, but feel overwhelmed and not sure how or where to start, this class is for you. Get training, guidance and support from an experienced runner and coach, and have a group of people to help you and cheer you on along the way. Come run with the group once a week, and then go home armed with an exact plan to follow to gradually make progress. This class will get you started toward a healthier, more active lifestyle, and even help you get ready for a summer 5k race. Anyone 14 years old and older is welcome.

CPR & First Aid Combo

Get two certifications during one class! CPR and First Aid will BOTH be covered in this class. CPR section: designed to give students the skills and knowledge to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies until advanced medical help arrives. Students will receive current Red Cross CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certification for Adults, Children and Infants current for two years from the date of the class. This class meets OSHA and MSHA requirements, and certification for medical professionals is also available with advance notice to the instructor. The FIRST AID section is designed to give students the skills and knowledge to recognize and respond to sudden medical emergencies such as seizures, diabetic problems, heat or cold related emergencies, or injuries. Certification is current for two years from the date of the class. CPR Professional Rescuer Certification available with instructor notification.

Excel 2016 Basics

This hands-on, instructor led course will guide you through the basics of this popular spreadsheet. You’ll begin by exploring the core features and tools in Excel 2016. You will discuss & practice basic Excel skills, including creating spreadsheets and working with standard formulas and functions. Saving and printing spreadsheets will also be covered.

HiSet and GED Prep Class
