Beginner Photography Class

Learn basics of composition, exposure, lighting patterns and camera settings. We will work with continuous lighting and still life. Camera, preferably one with manual settings, pen, notebook, and optional laptop.

Joyful Yoga on Zoom-October

Yoga is a time to reconnect with a sense of your healthy self. Yoga classes will be moving to Zoom this Fall. Enjoy your practice from the comfort of home. This class will focus on poses, breath, and meditation. Students will work on managing their overall health through yoga and meditation, while embracing the Joy of movement through heart-felt class themes. People who practice mindfulness find more peace, compassion, creativity and more courage in their daily lives. Mindfulness allows us to be more present with ourselves and decide how we want to move forward with our health journey. Would you like increased strength, stamina, flexibility and balance? Yoga will help with that. This class is designed for all levels of experience. Students will need to have a yoga mat, yoga blocks and blanket. Michelle Black is an E-RYT 500 as well as an Anusara-Inspired® Yoga teacher, and an Advanced Instinctive Meditation Teacher ®. She has spent the past 12 years learning and teaching about how all of the vital systems in our bodies work together in our yoga practice. She has taught over 2800 hours.
Effective Substitute Teaching

Substitute teachers help make the world go round—without them, schools would not be able to function! Become a substitute teacher with your high school diploma and this class. You will then meet the Wyoming PTSB requirement of “at least 24 hours of school district in-service training”. You’ll learn the use and application of lesson plans, elements of instruction, emergency plans, classroom organization, behavior management skills, and more! Successful completion of this course is based on your attendance. Please bring a notebook. Students will need to have a Gmail account so that they can have access to google classroom. A portion of the class will be assignments to complete and submit to familiarize students with how to use google classroom. PLEASE NOTE - All current state requirements to gain your Substitute Teaching Permit are listed online at ptsb.state.wy.us. Requirements are subject to change. If you are not certain of your current eligibility to become a substitute teacher in Wyoming, please check with the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board. If you have ever been a substitute teacher before, and your certification has lapsed, this class is not for RE-certification. Upon completion of this course, and with additional observation time, you can meet the requirements to become a certified substitute teacher in the state of Wyoming. Additionally, you will be required to undergo background checks to work in local school districts.
Aerobic Dance

Intermediate Sewing

Come learn how to read, cut and sew a simple patter on a sewing machine. Beginning sewing class required or have at least one year experience on a sewing machine. You must have had made at least 3 items using a machine.
Age Requirement: 6+
Equipment and technology needed: Sewing machine, pins, scissors, and white or black thread.
How to Financially One-Up Your Parents

CPR & First Aid Combo

Get two certifications during one class! Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking, or cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until EMS arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use. Infant and child modules are optional. Certification for adults, children and infants current for two years from the date of the class. A Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR/AED class can be provided with advanced Instructor notification. The BLS class is a certification for healthcare professionals for licensure.
