Joyful Yoga

All Joyful Yoga classes during the Fall 2020 semester will be delivered online via Zoom. After you register for class, you will recieve a receipt email which will include your class Zoom information.

This yoga class will focus on posture, breath, and meditation. Students will work on managing the overall stress of life through yoga and meditation, while embracing the Joy of movement through heart-felt class themes. This class is designed for all levels of experience. Students will need to bring a yoga mat, yoga blocks and blanket. Age Requirement: High school and older.

Nia is a fitness program designed for Every Body based on the body’s intelligent design. Each class brings mindfulness to your movement and is an exhilarating workout leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced. Lisa is a licensed Brown Belt Nia Instructor who motivates and teaches each student to maximize their body’s efficiency and to adapt to their individual needs. Each Nia session offers students low impact cardiovascular conditioning, increased flexibility and agility, strength and muscle definition and relaxation techniques. Students should wear comfortable clothing that will move with you, bring a water bottle and a mat or towel for floor work and relaxation. Must be 13 years old or older.

The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba® class!

What to wear and what to bring? Workout clothes that are easy to move in and that you won’t over heat in. Leggings/Yoga Pants, tee shirts, and clean tennis shoes. Don’t forget your, water bottle and small towel. Who are the certified instructors? Sara Hooten teaches Mondays, Audrey Kemp teaches Tuesdays, and Natasha Maxfield teaches Thursdays.

You Should Be Dancing -with Hoops & Scarves!

Participants will learn choreography combining Hoop Dancing & Scarf Dancing into one dance with two props. NO DANCE EXPERIENCE NECCESSARY! A perfect “try-something-different-class!” Wear comfortable, looser clothing to allow for movement. 

Age Requirement: High School through Adult

Masks and distancing will be appropriately practiced.

You Should Be Dancing -with Hoops & Scarves!

Try something NEW! Students will have fun learning age-appropriate choreography for Hoop Dancing & Scarf Dancing, culminating with a possible performance. No Traditional Dance Experience Necessary! Wear comfortable, looser clothing to allow for movement.

Age Requirement:  5th grade - HS students

Masks and distancing will be practiced appropriately.
